國際處有一些重要事項需要提醒各位，請仔細閱讀!!!
The Office of International Affairs has some important reminders for you. Please read them carefully.

外僑居留證（ARC）：

• 若您已完成辦理畢業手續，且居留事由為「就讀國立臺北大學」，則您的外僑居留證將於十天後失效。
• 若畢業後要繼續留在臺灣，請持畢業證書向移民署申請外僑居留證延長。
• 若畢業後擬離開臺灣，須於出境前將外僑居留證交回移民署；日後如欲再次來臺，需重新申請簽證。

Alien Resident Certificate (ARC):

• If you graduate from National Taipei University (NTPU) and your ARC is issued for the purpose of studying at NTPU, it will be deactivated within ten days after your graduation.
• If you intend to stay in Taiwan after graduation, you must apply for a one-year ARC extension using the graduation certificate at the National Immigration Agency.
• If you plan to leave Taiwan after graduation, you are required to return your ARC card to the Immigration Agency before departure. You will need to reapply for a visa if you wish to return to Taiwan in the future.

全民健康保險（健保）：

一、保費結算： 依實際投保期間核算，如有溢繳或不足，將辦理退費或補繳。
二、健保期間： 第一學期投保至2月底（秋季學期畢業者）；第二學期投保至8月底（春季學期畢業者）。
如在屆期前您欲離開台灣或已由其他單位投保，請向國際處申請轉出健保。
符合資格者將辦理退費，並匯入學籍系統登記之帳戶（作業約需30天，期間請勿關閉帳戶）。
三、續保方式： 如您畢業後仍留在台灣（如求職或其他原因），可依以下方式續保：
（1）覓職居留： 攜帶居留證及健保卡至戶籍所在地區公所辦理投保。
（2）就業： 依法由雇主於到職日起為您加保。
四、注意事項： 外僑居留證失效後，健保資格亦同時終止。日後欲重新加保，必須持有效居留證，且已在臺連續居住滿六個月。
如果您決定離開台灣不申請居留證延期，建議保留健保卡，若未來回台灣進修或工作可用。因健保卡新辦卡僅限一次，遺失或補發需支付 NT$200 製作費用。


National Health Insurance (NHI):

1. Premium Settlement: Premiums are calculated based on the actual insured period. Any overpayment will be refunded, and any underpayment will be collected.
2. Coverage Period: Coverage is valid until the end of February for fall semester graduates, and until the end of August for spring semester graduates.
If you plan to leave Taiwan before the coverage end date or have enrolled in NHI through another institution, please apply to transfer out of the university’s NHI program through the Office of International Affairs.
Eligible refunds will be processed and transferred to the bank account registered in the student information system (processing time is approximately 30 days; please do not close your account during this period).
3. Continued Enrollment After Graduation: If you remain in Taiwan after graduation (e.g., for job seeking or other reasons), you may continue your NHI coverage through the following methods:
(1) Job-Seeking Residence: Bring your ARC and NHI card to the local district office of your registered residence to enroll.
(2) Employment: Your employer is required by law to enroll you in NHI starting from your first day of employment.
4. Important Notes: Once your Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) expires, your NHI eligibility will be terminated simultaneously. To re-enroll in the future, you must hold a valid ARC and have resided in Taiwan continuously for at least six months.
If you decide not to extend your ARC and plan to leave Taiwan, it is recommended that you keep your NHI card, especially if you may return to Taiwan for study or work in the future.
Please note that an NHI card can only be issued once for free. A replacement due to loss or reissuance will require a processing fee of NT$200.
